July Favorites!

Hey loves! Since tomorrow marks the first day of August,
It means today is my July Favorites post!
I've been recently trying out lots of new products and have been
So pleased the with results, that they've made it to my July Favorites :)

Retro Creams & Perfume Shea Butter Cream in Chocolate Coconut: So lately I've been on a spontaneous hunt for a great hand cream. I tried a few but was never satisfied. Then I came across this little wonder on Etsy. Its by Retro Creams & Perfume (visit her here!) and it is in the scent Milk Chocolate Coconut. This is such a luxurious cream, very thick and moisturizing. It's hand made and free of parabens, phtalates, and harmful chemicals. Also the scent is to die for. She has hundreds of wonderful and unique scents to choose from as well. I've already sent her my second order! I also love supporting small businesses so please check her out!

Pulanna Bio Gold Pearl Cream: I just love this. I bought this at Marshalls for $10.00 and it is so amazing. First of all, look how gorgeous it is. Yes, that's the cream that looks like little pearls! It comes with a small spoon to scoop out the cream, and you apply it all over your face. It is very lightweight, but it is a great moisturizer and helped brighten my skin alot.

Sebastian Whipped Creme: This is the first Sebastian product I've ever tried, and I'm very impressed! I apply this to damp, towel dried hair. It comes out looking exactly like Whipped cream that you would have on your desert, except this is for your hair! It lightly conditions the hair while also giving a tiny bit of hold. I put this in the night before I straighten my hair and it leaves it soft, silky, and frizz free!

Maybelline Super Stay Makeup: As I mentioned in my empties post, I picked this up as a replacement for my Revlon Colorstay foundation, and I'm so glad I did. The coverage is medium but buildable. It dries to a dewy finish, which I always set with powder. I wouldn't say this lasts 24 hours like the pacakge suggests, but it does last through a hot workday, which is good enough for me. The only complaint I have about this foundation is that it doesn't include a pump, and is a bit annoying to get out of the bottle.

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips in Wakiki Strip: I adore this as a highlighting bronzer. I use a matte bronzer all over my face and then use this on my cheeks. Its a gorgeous peachy/bronze, so it's even usable on light skin tones like mine. This isn't an all over bronzer because it is too shimmery to use everywhere but looks great right on the cheekbones for a sunkissed look.

I apologize for such long explanations of each product, but I've been really loving these products and had to give you a full look on them!! Feel free to link your favorites below if you have done them, I'd love to check them out!

July Empties | What I've Used Up This Month!

I'm so sad it's the end of July.
I feel like Fall is already here.
I walk around the mall and see Halloween decorations, it's awful.
I wish Summer was an extra month long, we could take one from fall (Even though my birthday's in fall!) :P
But on a better note about another month ending, it means another round of empty containers I've gathered to show you :D
I've been doing so much better at finishing products lately and have been really cutting into my stash!
It's such a great feeling to have all of these empty containers, and I couldn't wait to share them with you!

Garnier Fructis Flexible Control Anti Humidity Hairspray: Love love love this hairspray! As the name mentions, it has a flexible hold. I can't stand hard hold hairsprays, but this one is easy to brush out and doesn't flake. It's great for straight or curly styles.

Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Serum Primer: This was mediocre. Didn't love it, didn't hate it. It did an OK job at keeping my makeup on and didn't break me out. That's all.

Naked Naturals Shea Butter and Avocado Smoothing Conditioner: I adore this conditioner. You can typically find it for a dollar or two ($1.50 at Big Lots!) and it's fantastic for such a good price. It leaves my hair silky soft and very moisturized. A must try!

Playboy Shimmer Shower Gel in Pink Sugar: Lame, I know, but I've had this sitting around for a good two years now. I got it as part of a gift set for christmas (?) Doesn't smell like sugar but lathers nicely and leaves me clean!

Milani Easy Liner for Eyes Glitter in Terra Brown: SO so so so so sad this is gone. My favorite eyeliner. I bought it on clearance at CVS (It's now discontinued) and fell in love. Its a gorgeous metallic brown with silver glitter. Teaches me to buy discontinued items.

TRESemme Heat Tamer Spray: I'm sure you've all heard loads about this stuff. I don't know how well it protects my hair cause you really can't tell, but it helps make it more manageable and smooth for straightening. Repurchased.

Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Combination/Oily Skin: I would like this stuff so much better if it had a pump. I almost don't like it simply based on the bottle. Otherwise, it has good coverage and a nice finish. I've replaced it with the Maybelline Superstay 24 hour foundation and I'm loving it.

Olay Moisture Replenishing Mousse Cleanser: I like this product. It removes my makeup well, and foams nicely to leave you with a super clean face. Would repurchase if it wasn't discontinued.

Isn't it amazing how many products you can finish up if you focus on them?
I hope I can have even more to share next month!
Keep reading for my July favorites, I will probably have them up on Tuesday!

Lush Cupcake Fresh Face Mask | New Skincare Routine Staple!

Over the past few months, I've been on a never ending search trying to find something to help my super-acne prone skin.
I've tried so many things, from face washes, spot treatments, and so on with no success.
So, come last week and a new discovery.
I was visiting Lush, (Which by the way I now love) and found this little guy.
I've heard great things on Youtube and such about the wonders of the Cupcake face mask and how great it is for acne-prone skin,
so I knew I had to get it.

Opening it, it smells like mint and chocolate mixed together. Amazing!
It has a thick texture, but smooth with no exfoliation.

With my skin being more full of breakouts than ever,
This has done wonders.
I apply it at night for about 15 minutes and when I wake up,
My breakouts are less irritated and noticeably smaller.

I also love that it gives a tingling feeling due to the spearmint.
You can feel this one working!

What Lush says about this face mask: To calm breakouts, this Rhassoul mud cleans and soothes, while cocoa butter, linseed and cocoa powder soften the skin. Balancing peppermint, spearmint and sandalwood oils complete the effective deep cleansing experience.

When my skin needs a little extra TLC, I use this face mask. I always apply a night cream after, due to drying, but if you have super oily skin, you may not have to. I recommend this for any acne prone skin, from combination to oily. As I said, if your skin is too dry it may dry it out even more.
This small container will last you about 4-5 uses, or a month, but keep it in the fridge!

Price: $6.95 USD / 2.1 ounce.

Have you ever tried a Lush Fresh Face Mask? If so, which one?

Elf Brightening Eye Color Quad in Butternut, Review and Swatches

Hey guys! I'm back today with a review on the ELF Brightening Eye Color Quad in Butternut. You can purchase this at Target or on www.EyesLipsFace.com for only a dollar. Hence my motivation to pick this baby up, lol. I always find the most afforable bits of makeup, hoping one day I'll find a gem to share with you ladies. Unfortunatly, this isn't one of them, but it does have it's perks. Let me explain :)

This quad includes four colors, a pale yellow, a light apricot, a deep brown, and a golden bronzey brown.

Excuse how dusty and full of makeup it is, it has been sitting in my makeup bag waiting to be reviewed for a while now!

Packaging: Pretty basic. A small white compact with a tiny almost unusable mirror. Also includes a brush to be thrown away. Only thing that I find cute and/or unique about the packaging is the triangle design of the eyeshadows.

Pigmentation: All depends on the shadow you are referring to. The light yellow and apricot shades are horrific. They barely show up at all. I had to dig my finger into each shade just to make it show up at all in my swatches. Those swatches in the photo are swatched about ten times over, just to make them visible. I have seen other swatches where they look decent though. Did I get a bad one? Let me know! The deep brown is fairly pigmented and the second best of this palette. The bronzey brown is absolutly perfect in pigmetation. The photo above is one easy swipe of the finger. The pigmentation is one hundred percent flawless and makes this palette worthwhile.

Texture: The texture of these eyeshadows almost go along with the pigmentation of them. When it comes to the pale yellow and light apricot shadows, they are rough in texture. Even my densest eyeshadow brush can't pick them up. As mentioned, I had to dig my finger into them just to pick them up. They are very chalky. The deep brown is an okay quality, which again matches its pigmentation. It's not too rough, but not smooth. The bronzey brown (again!!!) is a dream. It's buttery smooth and glides on. Perfection!

Longevity: For only one dollar, these eye shadows last a good amount of time, over a primer of course. I don't know too many shadows that can be worn alone without primer and last me through a long workday. I put these over my Smashbox Photo Finish Eyelid Primer and I have a whole days worth of wear. Again, I've never tried them alone so I can't speak for their wear by themselves, but I bet it's not too long ;)

Overall: This is a decent quad, especially for being so affordable. I recommend it to anyone looking for a gorgeous bronze/brown color, because even if it is the only shade you use out of the quad, a dollar for one eyeshadow is great. I am super disappointed at the light colors though, because i was looking foward to using them as a lid or highlight color. But can't say I can complain too much overall.

Do you own any of the ELF eyeshadow quads?

Review: Firmoo Sunglasses

I think I have an addiction to sunglasses. Everytime I go in a store, I have to look at them, and I usually leave with a pair. It gets quite heavy on my wallet, which is why I was so pleased when www.firmoo.com contacted me and asked if I'd like to try a pair of their glasses or sunglasses, free of charge. I was estatic. I love being outside during the summertime, and a cute pair of sunglasses is a must have.

If you have never heard of Firmoo.com, they are the world's most popular online eyeglasses (and sunglasses!) store. They are committed to providing their customers with fashion foward and high quality eye wear at prices anyone can afford. Best of all, they have launched a program offering free eyeglasses or sunglasses to first time buyers to make people aware of their excellent services and high quality products. They even offer super fast shipping so you can get your order as soon as possible. Want to try a pair free? Visit http://www.firmoo.com/free-glasses.html to get moving.

On Firmoo.com, you can select either normal glasses or sunglasses-either of which you can have prescription lenses on if you so need them. Since I recently made the switch to contact lenses, I chose a pair of sunglasses. They have many great options for both male and female customers, and a helpful feature they offer is the virtual try on service. You can try the glasses on your own photo before you purchase them, so you can get an idea of how they will look on you!

I was also very impressed with the customer service they offer. The representative that I was working with was very kind and helpful. He made it a pleasurable and simple experience. If you have any questions about their services, they are there to help.

Enough talk, let me show you the beautiful glasses they sent me!

Every order comes with a hard case, a soft case, a cleaning wipe, and a repair kit-Free!

Aren't they gorgeous? They were love at first sight for me. I love how unique they are. I can honestly say I have never seen another pair of sunglasses quite like these. They're a gorgeous shade of green/aqua and the bow detailing is what won me over. They also feel very durable, like if I drop them, they won't fall apart instantaniously. Want a pair of these for youself? Click here to purchase them! I even decided to show you all a picture with them on so you can see how flattering they are. Typically, since i have a round face, frames like this don't work on me, but I do love how they look. Do you?

Overall: I'm so satisfied with my glasses. They are gorgeous and high quality. I couldn't have asked for any more! Firmoo.com is definitely a great place to shop for sunglasses (Or glasses alike if you wear them!) and I'm sure to be a repeat customer. They are always coming out with new frames, so it's a site you have to keep checking. I hope that you all take advantage of their great offer of recieving your first pair free, you'll be so happy that you did!

What do you think of the glasses? Have you ever heard of Firmoo.com?

Face of the Day & How I Curl my Hair!

Hi everyone! Hope you're all enjoying your Tuesday. I typically have Tuesdays off which Is why I'm blogging during the day rather than at night! I had the time today to really spend on my makeup so which is why I'm posting a face of the day :) I've never done one of these before so I hope you all enjoy. I'm also including how I curl my hair, my ideal curls are soft and loose, very summertime and effortless.

Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Serum Primer
Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Eye Concealer
Covergirl Natureluxe Foundation in 320 Aspen
Jordana Flawless Powder in Ivory
Physicians Formula Cashmere Wear Bronzer in Medium
L'Oreal Super Blendable Blush in Baby Blossom
The Balm Mary Lou Manizer Highlighter

Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin
L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Bottomless Java (Crease and outer V)
MAC Soft Brown Eyeshadow (To Blend out harsh lines)
Mary Lou Manizer Highligher (as highlight)
L'Oreal Lineur Intense in Black
Revlon Eyelash Curler
Almay Dial Up Mascara in Black

When I curl my hair, I want it to be quick and simple. I don't curl every last piece, because luckily I have wavy hair and it is easy to blend loose curls with the waves. I use a one inch Hot Tools Helix curling iron that I picked up at Marshalls a few months back for $29.99.

When I curl my hair, I never use the clip on the iron. I wrap sections of hair around it instead, going away from my face. Curling Iron clips always leave nasty dents in the bottom of the curl that won't smooth out until you wash your hair. Even better, when you don't use the clip it is easier to achieve loose beachy curls/waves that last longer.

These are the three hair products I use when I curl my hair, they give it a nice healthy shiny look.

-Garnier Fructis Flexible Hold Anti Humidity Hairspray
-TREsemme Heat Tamer Spray
-CHI Shine Infusion

Before I apply any heat to my hair, I use the TREsemme Heat Tamer Spray to be sure I'm not damaging my hair too much. Applying heat directly to the hair can cause breakage, dryness, and split ends. I then curl my hair with the iron as I described above and spray my Garnier Fructis Flexible Hold Anti Humidity Hairspray which keeps the curls soft but in place all day. Best of all, its super affordable and you can get it at most drugstores and retailers for around $4.00. After I've sprayed my hair with the hairspray, I spritz the CHI Shine Infusion on my hands and run my hands through the ends of my hair for that nice, healthy, put together look. This product is a bit pricey, but its worth it. It gives great shine without a greasy look.

And that's all there is to it! I really hope you all enjoyed my face of the day and mini hair curling tutorial/products I used. Please leave a comment to give me your opinion, I always reply :)

BIC Soleil Savvy Disposable Razor Review

Hello everyone and happy Monday! Just kidding, Mondays are the worst. Today I thought I'd share a product with you that I was recently asked by BzzAgent to test out. BzzAgent is a website that sends out FREE products in exchange for you spreading the word about it and reviewing it. The more you "Buzz" to other people, the more free products you will recieve! Best of all, the whole website is one hundred percent free. Even signing up won't cost you a penny!

You can click here to sign up!

About two weeks ago, they sent me the BIC Soleil Savvy Disposable razor to try out and let them know my thoughts about it. I thought I'd also pass on those thoughts to all of my lovely followers and readers!

At first glance I already loved it. Pink is one of my favorite colors and it looks adorable. Here's what it claims:

-3 flexible blades for a flawlessly smooth shave
-Lubricating strips with Vitamin E
-Pivoting head and rubber grip for ultimate comfort

So, lets get a little more up close and personal with this razor...

So cute right? But the design and the sparkles in the handle aren't the only things that I love, the performance of the razor is also out of this world. I have used so many different types of both disposable and cartridge razors before that it would take forever to name them all to you. I know what to expect from low and high end razors, but this one took me by complete surprise. I expected what you usually get from disposable razors-mediocre performance, stubble, a few nicks, and you have to toss it away about a week later. I have been using this razor everyday since the day I recieved it two weeks ago and it shows no signs of needing a replacement head. It provides a super close shave that you can't find in any other disposable razor. I also really love how it glides across my skin and doesn't catch in weird places.

Another really great thing about this razor is that it seems to be much more economical than other disposable razors. I've bought disposables that come with about ten to the pack, and thats a lot of plastic you use quickly then throw away. I think it's great that with the BIC Soliel Savvy you get one plastic handle and four razor heads. It saves lots of unecessary waste. Once those cartridges are worn out, you do have to purchase a whole new pack of razor heads and the handle, but the heads last way longer than throw away disposables.

Overall I'm really loving this razor and I'm so glad I was able to try it out! I love the smooth close I get and how affordable it is. You can buy it at drugstores and mass market retailers for about $7.49.

Disclaimer: This is not a paid or sponsored post. I am a BzzAgent and I received a BzzKit complete with product and coupons to share by being a member of BzzAgent. My thoughts and opinions are 100% honest and my own and were not swayed in any way. My opinions my be different from others.

Nail Of The Day, Sally Hansen Gem Crush in Glitz Gal

Hey everyone! I just got back from swimming and shopping and when I arrived home I had a surprise waiting for me! It's my camera's USB cord that came in the mail so I can finally start blogging and posting my own photos again :) The old one mysteriously disappeared so unfortunatly I had to spend ten extra dollars on a new one. But all is well :)

I decided to show you all a new nail polish that I picked up a week or so ago. It's called Glitz Gal by Sally Hansen's Gem Crush line. Its a gorgeous dense grey glitter with holographic sparkles in it. I've heard it's also a dupe for China Glaze's Some Like it Haute. I've yet to see that one! All of the polishes in this line are gorgeous and full of glitter, just the way I like them. This one especially caught my eye.

Now before you go and purchase it based only off of its gorgeous photos, let me warn you: It is a very difficult polish to work with. The images above are FOUR coats of Glitz Gal. Let me repeat; FOUR coats. Even with three coats this polish still doesn't seem to reach full opacity, but the fourth one seemed to do the trick. Even after the four coats and about an hour or so of drying time, I even needed to add a clear top coat because this polish is extremely gritty. Add five more minutes of drying time. Even after all my hard work painting this on and letting it dry, Glitz Gal almost immeadiately chipped (As you can see in the images on my middle finger) I swear I think I almost cried when it did from all my hard work invested. I'm dreading removal time... :l

So, before you're blinding by the extreme beauty of this nail polish, be sure that you have some time on your hands and a bit of patience as well, because this one is hard work!

Bed Head After-Party Review

Hello everyone, hope you all had a great day! It's time for a review! I know I havn't done one in a while and unfortunatly I still don't have my camera cord, So I'm using a generic image :(

Meet my favorite hair product in the whole wide world!
Bed Head's After Party is a smoothing cream for "Silky, shiny, healthy looking hair" It also claims to be "The perfect party favor. After-Party hair creme for silky, smooth, shiny, healthy looking hair. Control the funky fly-aways and silk-ify your hair." If this seems too good to be true, think again. This does everything it promises!

To use, I apply this on my dry hair after I've styled. I typically use a dime sized amount (a little goes a long way) and concentrate most of the product on my ends, then working the rest up to the top of my hair. Since this product comes in a cream form, it doesn't get as greasy as say, a serum, but I still tend to be careful not to use too much towards my roots, just in case. After I apply this, it's easy to see the difference. Not only does it add shine to my hair but it makes it feel like silk. On days where I just feel like wearing a pony tail, I just run this through it and Voila! Instant sleek hair.

When it comes to the packaging, I don't even want to talk about the outside, lol. I love the hot pink color, but not the design so much. This product does come with a pump, which I love when anything has a pump. It is so easy to control the amount of product you want to use and you don't end up with waste.

The only downfall to this product is the price. Typically it sells for about $18 a bottle (3.4 ounces) You can find it at stores like walmart and target or at your local salon. I always tend to splurge on my hair products, but I know some people don't like to do that. If you're one of those people that don't, please take my advice and make this your first! Its worth every penny. This is one of those hair products that you wish you knew about years ago :)

A Note to all my Lovely Followers!

As you may or may not have noticed, I haven't been on here in months. I have found myself feeling very overwhelmed and busy that I havn't had the time to come on here. But in the past few weeks I have really been missing blogging and communicating with all my great followers! :( So, I decided that i'm going to find the time for blogging since it has become a huge passion of mine. I won't be able to blog daily like I used to, but a few times a week instead, which is acceptable :) I also need to purchase a new USB cord for my camera, so within a weeks time I will be back to posting!! I appreciate each and everyone of your support and I'm so glad to be back on here!
